Client: Capuchin Soup Kitchen of Detroit
The Challenge: For a longstanding institution like the Capuchin Soup Kitchen, impact isn’t just measured in meals served today, it’s measured in the decades of partnership that make the mission possible. The organization needed an awards video for their annual “Silver Soup Bowl” awards that honored two very different but equally vital supporters: a family legacy tied to the Solanus Casey Center and a local business icon, Buddy’s Pizza. The challenge was to weave these two distinct histories into a single, cohesive narrative that celebrated their past contributions while inspiring the next generation of donors.
The Solution: We focused the production on the concept of “Generational Giving.” By capturing intimate interviews with the two representatives of the award winners, we shifted the focus from simple financial metrics to the deeply personal “why” behind their support. We highlighted how these partnerships evolved from simple gestures, like busboys donating tips or a father’s wish for a peaceful garden, into multimillion-dollar legacies. The final video serves as a prestigious award tribute that validates the soup kitchen’s professional excellence and its profound human impact on Detroit.
